Policing & Community Safety Team: Overview

 Team Objectives:

The Village Action Plan Survey highlighted a need to address public order and community safety issues, plus concerns about the ease of access to doctors and hospitals.

The Policing and Community Safety Team are working on the following:

1. Policing - to make it more visible and to consult with the police and neighbourhood watch representatives to see if it can be given a higher profile.
2. Improving transport facilities to Doctors surgeries and hospitals by looking into existing services and investigating the practicalities of providing a volunteer car service.
3. Organising first aid classes.
4. The provision of a defibrillator and a lifebelt by the river.
5. Consider using low level lighting in areas where concerns have been raised.
