Public Transport Team: Overview

 Team Objectives:

Reliable transport services are an essential way of life to many people living in the village.

The Village Action Plan Public Transport Team has two very clear objectives:
  • Review with ESCC and transport operators whether more frequent/additional services could
    be made available.
  • Review whether better links to hospitals and doctors can be introduced.

The Village Action Plan Youth survey also identified a need to explore whether expansion of the services might be feasible, especially at weekends. The Youth also identified a particular desire for the punctuality of the school coach to Chailey School to be improved.

The Team has agreed with the Policing & Community Safety Team that the latter will look at solutions to the provision of better links to hospitals and doctors. The Public Transport Team are fully supportive of the Policing & Community Safety Team's approach.
