Public Transport Team
Team Objectives
Reliable transport services are an essential way of life to many people living in the village.
The Village Action Plan Public Transport Team has two very clear objectives:
- Review with ESCC and transport operators whether more frequent/additional services could be made available.
- Review whether better links to hospitals and doctors can be introduced.
The Village Action Plan Youth survey also identified a need to explore whether expansion of the services might be feasible, especially at weekends. The Youth also identified a particular desire for the punctuality of the school coach to Chailey School to be improved.
The Team has agreed with the Policing & Community Safety Team that the latter will look at solutions to the provision of better links to hospitals and doctors. The Public Transport Team are fully supportive of the Policing & Community Safety Team's approach.
Anyone wishing to discuss an issue relevant to the objectives set out above can contact Tom Hawthorne or Oliver St John.
