Plumpton Festive Fair
Saturday 26 November in Plumpton Village Hall 12noon to 4pm
Another happy occasion for the village!
Thirty-one stallholders contributed to the event selling everything from turkeys, Christmas puddings, Christmas cakes, chutneys and jellies, cup-cakes, cheese, bread, biscuits, cards, wrapping paper, jewellery, wood-turning products, paintings, wine, bird-boxes, ceramics and a whole lot more!
The award-winning Plumpton School Choir, led by teacher, Chris, performed a delightful medley of carols which held the packed audience spell-bound with delight.
The Plumpton Festive Fair has become such an important date in the calendar that even the Three Kings rode in on their faithful camel to bestow glad tidings to all the stallholders and shoppers alike.
The raffle was the most successful yet – both in terms of the amount raised and the fantastic prizes donated by stallholders – thank you to everyone who contributed.
And people were constantly refreshed by copious food and drink expertly prepared and served by volunteers from Windmill Rangers – thank you for your hard-work!
Thanks must go to the organisers, in particular Kathy Baker, Sue Morgan, Carole and Paul Nicholson, Alison Taylor and Sue Whittaker – and on the day – so many more!
The comments received speak volumes:
